A Special Night at The Royal Sussex Lodge of Hospitality

The Lodge’s final meeting of the Masonic year was not in May, but June where we had the pleasure of visiting Royal Sussex.

The evening began with WBro. Mark Govey acting as Worshipful Master (and Master Elect for the forthcoming year), opening the Lodge and conducting the business as outlined on the Summons. The Chair was then graciously offered to the Worshipful Master and Brethren of St. Augustine Lodge, who conducted the Raising of Bro. Jack Harrison to the Third or Sublime Degree of a Master Mason.

Bro. Harrison proved to be an excellent candidate and the Brethren of both Lodges were proud to provide the setting for such a significant milestone in his Masonic journey. The evening was marked by a memorable spirit of harmony and mutual support between the two Lodges, a powerful reminder of the strength and unity that comes when Lodges work together.

The After Meeting that followed was filled with a genuine sense of camaraderie. It was a fitting conclusion to a wonderful evening.

Dining together and sharing the work certainly enhanced the experience for everyone involved as last night was proof of just how successful that approach can be.

Our thanks and congratulations to everyone who made it possible and here’s looking forward to our next meeting in September Brethren!
